Interpreting Services

Comtec offers a complete interpreting service in all major languages to suit all business situations.

The types of interpreting we offer include:

Simultaneous interpreting

Ideal for large multilingual events and conferences, the interpreter translates while simultaneously listening to the next sentence. This will usually be fed through headphones at large conferences or whispered in smaller venues.

Consecutive interpreting

Better suited to smaller, more informal meetings. The interpreter will wait for a suitable pause before translating.

Liaison interpreting

Also known as face-to-face interpreting, this is ideal for informal situations. The interpreter will translate and whisper consecutively.

Once the mode of interpreting has been established, Comtec liaises between clients and interpreters to provide background information and co-ordinate the process through to delivery.
